Community Connection and the Community Center!
The first church, built in 1921, served generations of families as the Heart of the Community.
In the fall of 2022 community members and friends worked together to create Owls Head Mountain View Community Connection, with the mission to repurpose the long-unused Church into to the Owls Head Mountain View Community Center.
Today, OHMV Community Connection, Inc. is finalizing our purchase agreement with St. Andre Bessete Parish. The Community Center is once again the Heart of the Community.
Today, as in the past it's all about people!
A team of local volunteers installed the accessibility ramp, removed tree stumps and graded the area for landscaping later this spring.

Family Bingo Nights are a Big Hit!
They helped a lot of us get through the long winter. They'll continue throughout the Spring and Summer
Volunteers worked together to addres and prepare envelopes for our first Capital Campaign that began in November. Donations exceeded $16,000.

For more than 50 years, beginning in the 1920's, residents of the adjoining hamlets of Owls Head and Mountain View, in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in Northern New York, gathered together at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Owls Head. For many generations, the church was the heart of this community.
Owls Head Mountain View Community Connection is again building a sense of community and enhancing the quality of life for our families, friends, and visitors in Owls Head Mountain View and surrounding communities.
